Chinook

Chinook is a 10 year old, grade 1/4 draft gelding that stands 15.3hh. Big, handsome, sturdy, and GENTLE are the words I would use to describe Chinook! Handy broke with the mind to please. This thick made, gorgeous gelding has been our go to guy for all aspects ranch fall work last year. We have used Chinook extensively in the rough Missouri breaks in northern Montana, and he has been extremely valuable to us! He is a ground covering, smooth traveling horse that has the size and bone to last, but can ride around like a small horse too. Chinook is gentle and quiet in the corrals around busy people and cattle, is great with dogs, 4 wheelers, and semis. He is the same horse every single day, rain, snow, or shine. He is our go to guy in the cold and wind as he is 100% safe and reliable. Not only is he useful outside, he knows his leads, is extremely soft in the bridle, has plenty of buttons, and moves off your leg beautifully. He is a Cadillac!
Chinook will be an absolutely wonderful addition to anyone’s program, whether it be ranching, pleasure riding, or out in the mountains. In the past, he was used in hunting camps and has packed out elk as well. We got him from the people that raised him, and they did a wonderful job! Beyond his usefulness, Chinook loves people! He is the first horse to come in everyday, and you can catch him in any size pasture at any hour of the day. He absolutely loves being your friend, and we are proud to own a horse with such a lovely disposition as well as work ethic.
